Stephenson Ave., Iron Mountain Subject: Presentation- 4H and Services, Paul Putnam, MSU District 1 Director The Dickinson County Democratic Party will be hosting MSU District 1 Director, Paul Putnam, at their next meeting to be held on February 26th at 6pm at the Liuna Labor Hall located at 1800 N. Stephenson Avenue in Iron Mountain. Putnam will speak about the local cut to 4-H and other services that were recently repealed or removed from the budget by the newly elected board of commissioners. Topic for discussion will include what this vote means to the county and the residents that will be most affected by this decision. Paul Putnam is the District 1 Director, covering the central and western counties in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. Putnam started his career with MSU Extension in 2014. Prior to that, he spent six years as community, natural resources and economic development educator with University of Wisconsin Extension. He received his Bachelor’s degree from Northern Michigan University, and a Master’s degree from University of South Carolina. This meeting is open to the public and people are encouraged to attend. Possible steps forward will also be a subject of discussion.
