HOOTS (5A-9A CST) I was born and raised in upper Michigan and have lived and worked here most of my life. My wife, Jayna, shares many of the same passions that I have. We love researching all kinds of history, especially local topics and the Civil War. We are always ready to speak at civic organizations, schools, clubs, and basically anyone who’ll listen! We have put together PowerPoint presentations regarding Gettysburg, Antietam, sites related to the assassination of JFK, John Wilkes Booth’s escape route, Elvis Presley’s Graceland, and many others. We have also organized walking tours of Iron Mountain’s Cemetery Park. In July, 2022 I published my first book titled “Perfect Union – Iron Mountain and Its Last Surviving Civil War Soldier,” which documents the life of a man named Samuel Bassett. I love following all sports, and I have a borderline unhealthy obsession with the life of Elvis Presley. I have toured Graceland eighteen times and I am on the editorial staff and interview contributor of Elvari, a magazine published by the Official Elvis Presley Fan Club of Finland. One other thing–there is no such thing as having too many mushrooms on a pizza. See you on the radio!!
