Iron Mountain Police Respond to Bomb and Shooting Threats at First National Bank
Iron Mountain, MI – November 4, 2024 – The Iron Mountain Police Department is actively investigating bomb and shooting threats received by First National Bank at approximately 10:00 AM today. Upon notification, our officers immediately responded to the scene to ensure the safety of all individuals present.
The bank was evacuated safely, and lockdown protocols were activated across all branches. We are working closely with First National Bank’s security personnel and management to ensure the continued safety of all customers and employees.

Increased police presence has been noted at other First National Bank locations, including the Kingsford and South branch offices. This was to ensure the safety of all bank offices, customers, and employees.
We take all threats seriously and are committed to ensuring the safety of our community. Our officers are trained to handle these situations swiftly and effectively.
Iron Mountain Police Officers have located and arrested the suspect. We are continuing to investigate this incident. Further details will not be released until the investigation is completed and charges are requested from the Dickinson County Prosecutor.
