Michigan Technological University will celebrate the accomplishments of more than 400 graduates at its 2024 Midyear Commencement on Saturday, Dec. 14, at 10:30 a.m. in the Varsity Gym of the Student Development Complex (SDC).
The combined undergraduate and graduate ceremony will feature two student speakers:
- Mehnaz Tabassum ’23, a Ph.D. alum in electrical and computer engineering and assistant teaching professor at Wichita State University, will reflect on her journey from Kushtia, Bangladesh, to Michigan Tech and beyond.
- Aliyah Maxwell-Abrams, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and a minor in mathematics, will share how their time at Michigan Tech shaped their future in renewable energy and left a lasting impression on their life.
Doors open at 8:30 a.m. for ticketed guests. Parking is available in Lot 22 near the SDC and Lot 24 near the football field. The ceremony will be livestreamed and recorded.
